Olaya Creamed & Liquid Organic Honey

Artensanos de Cuevas are a family run business that began in 1977. Their main objective is the production of honey and pollen.

As professional beekeepers they guarantee the quality and origin of all their honeys because they oversee the whole process of extraction, analysis and packaging. They produce organic creamed and liquid honey.

What is creamed honey ?

It is crystallized honey that is broken down in cold temperature thus achieving a soft and creamy honey that can be in used with comfort and that retains 100 % of its properties without losing either aroma or flavor.

Why the taste and natural benefits of Artensanos de Cuevas Olaya Raw Organic Honey far surpasses that of supermarket honey.

If you really want raw organic natural honey, with all the natural benefits, you’re faced with a big problem. Whether you like it or not the big honey producers are depriving one of the finest natural substances known to man of its natural goodness.

Honey naturally contains more than 75 different compounds – enzymes, minerals and trace minerals, vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates and organic acids, many of which are recognised as being benefitial to human health. Atensanos de Cuevas, a Spanish family run business are determined to supply a kind of honey that is almost impossible to find in most shops with all its natural compounds and natural goodness intact.

Supermarkets and most shops are selling a pale imitation of natural honey, with most of the goodness processed out. Yet unfortunately most shoppers aren’t aware of this because the choice available at supermarkets seems so big, and the discerning shopper may think that the organic honey is equivalent to raw honey.

However, the fact is that unless it’s clearly stated even some organic honey has been pasteurised and ultra filtered, processes that remove the natural goodness. Why do they do this ? Maybe it’s because they think consumers want honey that is easy to pour and very smooth. Pasteurisation breaks down the crystals that naturally form in raw honey, keeping it runny, ultra filtration makes the honey very smooth.

Although you might find this honey relatively cheap but it simply does not have the fantastic flavour or contain the enzymes, minerals and B vitamins of raw natural honey.
